Hello, I’m Sara. I'm a designer based in Los Angeles who thinks spaces should feel as good as they look.

I grew up around the Bay Area — San Jose, Oakland, San Francisco — surrounded by old neon signs, brick warehouses, and those stunning Victorians. There's something about living between eras like that; it teaches you that old and new don't have to compete. That sensibility stuck with me.

My actual training was in film production design. On set, the job wasn't to just make things pretty — it was to create a feeling. But more than that, it was about solving problems on a budget and timeline. How do you build what someone needs when resources are tight? How do you get creative? I loved that constraint-driven thinking. Now I get to do the same thing for real people in their actual lives, which is infinitely more rewarding.

Here's what I've noticed: people avoid design help because it feels expensive, intimidating, or like someone's going to steamroll their life into an Instagram aesthetic. That's not me. I start by listening — how do you actually live here? What's been driving you mad? What do you need this space to do?

Then we solve for it. Maybe that's a layout rework, hunting down the right pieces, or building a custom solution that fits your life and budget. I love creating custom pieces — they're just problem-solving with intention. I work with all kinds of people: homeowners, renters, makers, musicians, small businesses.

I'm a crafter and sewist and a new mom trying to live simply and sustainably — so I get it. Your space should work for you, not against you. I take the work seriously and the process lightly. That means real attention to what matters and a collaboration that's actually enjoyable.

Let's make your space work.
